rain...not just a myth

As irony would have it, after making my post about the drought, I woke the next day to rain. And it rained for hours. Not a hard beating rain but mostly steady and a relief nonetheless. I don't think we've had this much rain, or rather I haven't had this much rain in months. Maybe since January because I know the city where I'm not usually but was then has gotten more rain than we have in the country. But by all accounts (and by that I mean according to my sister) we got a good hard rain in the country where I wasn't.

Whatever.

It was wonderful.

Not enough to break the drought but oh so welcome.

Because as Rick at Life 101 opined, it drought impacts your spirit somewhat.

This morning, now at home, the evidence of more rain last night greets us.

actual rain drops

Thanks to all who have sent rain giving energy our way.

  1. I guess the rain here just overflowed! It is getting bored here maybe...more rain today however. Drought or too much rain- extremes are never good- except for chocolate- THAT I will forgive for being extreme...Glad y'all got damp!

  11. Sounds nice to finally get some. I like to hear a little on my tent but had it for 6 days before i had a let up . Today it shines sunlight and I am headed out to the garden this afternoon taking a few days off from work to get things done around my home.

  13. So excited when I see anyone getting some rain. I spotted a rain cloud this morning, the angel of beautiful rain falling from it, noticed the same cloud 30 minutes later in the same spot, still rain falling. And again as I left another store. My yard was dry - but thankful someone had some rain. Hope you get more (and send some on over to Georgia too!)
