The
indian paintbrush in the fields is incredible this year. There are
several different varieties ranging from pink to orange to red. Guess
they liked the long cold winter.

Though
it is mostly overcast today (and windy), it is still very bright. Hence the
scrunched up face.
I don't think I've actually ever seen Indian Paintbrush although I have read of it many times. Thank you for showing it to me. It is glorious!
ReplyDeletewow! we have not one bloom here yet - not paintbrush or bluebonnet to be seen.
ReplyDeletebest selfie so far! WOW those flowers are a-maz-zing! They are more plump and more fair than the ones I grew up with in WYO. Stunning photos!Guess what kind of weather we are having...if you guessed RAIN, you are correct!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, nice selfie. The Indian Paintbrush is spectacular. Somewhere around this house we have a wonderful children's book that tells the legend of that flower; I think I'll go look for that.
ReplyDeleteLove your scrunched up face!
ReplyDeleteThe paintbrush is crazy - I haven't seen that much color in months. Wow.
Oh my, oh my, oh my...or as that Texas boy would say, all right, all right, all right.
ReplyDeleteThey all look lovely taking on the wind.. and so do you.
ReplyDeleteWow, look at that. What an incredible display. Between those and bluebonnets, Texas does get the most amazing wildflowers.
ReplyDeleteThat first picture is incredible. It made me feel free just by looking at it. And the selfie made me smile. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it would grow here, but I love wild flowers in a field. I have a huge bag of Cosmos seed that I gathered last fall. I plan to broadcast it all over the empty field where our billboard is.
ReplyDeletestunning show of colors and a fun squinched selfie
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely glorious!! And I love the selfie :)
