We
are in the middle of our last week long grandkid visit so here's a
few pics from the yard:
this
big anole was hanging out in the arum lilies
along
with these two little hatchlings.
I
have seen far too few butterflies this year.

I love everything about this post! But maybe the anoles best :)
ReplyDeleteAll are good photos, but my favorite is the cicada!!! very cool...
ReplyDeleteEither you have a better camera [I am thinking "YES"] or your cicadas are much prettier than ours.
ReplyDeleteWallene was just following our "skink" around the flower boxes [the little lizard in the first pic] We named him Pasquale [as in the movie "Tangled"] and we were tickled to see your gorgeous shots of the ones in your yard.
Meanwhile, who needs TV?- we have been watching "Squirrel Wars" here in the backyard for the last hour. It would be pretty funny if they weren't so ferocious to each other.
Turning over our last flower garden I find myself in deep conversations with the eleven year old granddaughter who hopes some one of the grubs we unearth are cicadas. She puts them all back, "just in case."
ReplyDeleteLOVE the anole photo! wow! gorgeous look around! enjoy that grand!
ReplyDeleteI wish we had anoles!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing these grandkids do not sit and learn skills as your older grandchild did! Don't get too tired.
ReplyDeleteTime to take photos and be with grandkids. Good summer!!
ReplyDeletelove, love, love the photos. It must be wonderful to live where those particular plants grow. Beautiful. Happy grands visit time, Oma Linda
ReplyDeletemagnificent finds, I went back over them a few times
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Ellen. Those anoles are photogenic little guys:)
ReplyDeleteOMFG! These photos are blowing my tiny mind! How did you get so close??? You must have an invisability cloak- I want one...The anole top photo WOW and the cicada WOW. ART STUFF! so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! That first shot of the anole is especially mind-blowing. Is plumeria the same thing as frangipani?
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! Love the cicada of course.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of camera/lens do you use? I'm about to upgrade my equipment - am trying to figure out how much I need to spend.
Oh that first image of the anole is just amazing. What a lovely shot.. they have such beautiful eyes.
