she's off



I'm headed to Canada today for a week with the girls. You might remember I went to Oregon last August for a week on the coast, an outing with some women friends, some of whom I knew and some of whom were, at first, strangers. We all had so much fun that we decided to get together again this summer. Natali and Denise, the Canadian contingent, are hosting this year, thus I am off to Calgary.

    It's good to get away with friends. I will be interested to know what you think of Calgary - I know someone who is moving there later this year. Have a great time!

    I hope you had a good trip and will tell us about it.

    Where did you go in Oregon, and were you surprised by how cold the water was? The coast here is scary to me because of the cold water, rip tides, and sneaker waves. Say, I—and Stephen Hayes as well—live in Oregon, and I know I would sure like it if you got in touch with me if you’re ever here again and find it convenient to do so.
