ReplyDeletelove your pods!!
ReplyDeletePods are so much more interesting to me than flowers unless of course they are poddish flowers. It is nearly the season for pods here- not quite but soon.
ReplyDeleteWe used to pick the pods of wild rose bushes as kids and slap them onto the back of our arch enemies ... itching powder ...
ReplyDeleteTallow? I'm not sure I've ever seen or heard of a tallow pod before. The others I know well, though!

ReplyDeleteTHAT's what those things are on the cypress tree next door! I'll have to let Mike know - we were puzzling over them :)
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of oaks where I deliver my mail, and I am beginning to trip over acorns and squirrels every day now.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Ellen. I love this time of year-whenthe pod people come a-visiting. :)
ReplyDeleteI never really looked at acorns as pods before but of course. that's what all those things are.. rose hips.. and such. Lovely photos. None of those little berry like pod.. white with the black dots? They're called Doll's Eyes.. and they would therefore be .. eyepods. ;)
