eye candy

I've climbed off my soap box she says amid heavy sighs of relief. For now anyway.

The sky yesterday evening was just awesome. There was a giant pink cloud above us...

and to the north west was this so I decided to try a composite a la Reya over at According To The Cosmology Of Reya.

Tonight was pretty amazing as well. Click on the images for a better view (or not, I thought they would be bigger).

  3. Ooooh.. very beautiful. I love that colour. I see that Linda Sue describes it as strawberry fluff. Funny, because those pink clouds always did make me think of strawberry Royal Pudding (probably only a Canadian thing.. and it goes back to the 60s) which was my favourite. I can still taste it when I see this cloud.

  4. These clouds are stunning. We had sunsets like that when we lived in Salt Lake City. I miss that.

  9. BTW as far as I'm concerned, you can stay on your soapbox as long as you like.

  10. I'm with Reya - I LIKE the soapbox :)

It's cotton candy - & now I want some! Why that's practially diet food, except for all that sugar. I keep trying to take pictures of our gorgeous evening skies, but I'm always disappointed in the result. Yours are gorgeous!

  14. Beautiful! Do you live near Phoenix? When we were there a few months ago, we took the most gorgeous photos of a pink swirly sky. The pink in your photos is almost unnatural. Gorgeous.

  15. The composites are cool. The colors are amazing, and so different between the two evening, one cool, and one warm.
