Our poor crepe myrtles are getting the treatment. I do think yours will come back, though. They're among the most resilient trees I know. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, as Grandma used to say. I've seen them cut to the ground and still come back. shoreacreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16284698314697628805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447321916012029979.post-64481247293795620272017-02-08T10:16:22.846-06:002017-02-08T10:16:22.846-06:00I'm not crazy about severe pruning either, but...I'm not crazy about severe pruning either, but sometimes we need to cut a few toes order to save the foot. We don't touch the Crepe Myrtle trees, though, but this year, Mother Nature has done her own pruning on one.Starting Over, Accepting Changes - Maybehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06032033918798053005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447321916012029979.post-21708209611338808962017-02-07T14:42:16.420-06:002017-02-07T14:42:16.420-06:00Fun that you got to spend time with your granddaug...Fun that you got to spend time with your granddaughter.stephen Hayeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17659054447637207734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447321916012029979.post-12169305533020786742017-02-07T09:04:18.431-06:002017-02-07T09:04:18.431-06:00We gardeners call it crepe murder of the crepe myr...We gardeners call it crepe murder of the crepe myrtle. So little moisture they weren't up yet. My little dock in the lake isn't lit up at night again. I was so proud when I got it working. I'm wondering if a squirrel didn't do something to it.
