One stone had a photo of a lady snake-handler. I was interested in her, and discovered she had married the circus sword swallower. You can make this stuff up, but sometimes you don't have to.shoreacreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16284698314697628805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447321916012029979.post-79396217697950330092016-03-07T04:33:48.250-06:002016-03-07T04:33:48.250-06:00I read that Alexander McCall Smith book years ago,...I read that Alexander McCall Smith book years ago, and I really liked it, but I never read any of the rest of them. (There are about ten more, I think!) All those other books sound interesting in their own way, too -- even the Brad Thor. I'm unfamiliar with all except the Ladies Detective Agency, which I've read and loved. <br />This was useful, since like The Bug above, I'm always looking for book ideas for my book club. Sounds interesting! I really need to check out the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency books - I know I'll like them. However, currently I'm rereading the Eve Dallas series - I had recommended it to my brother & wanted to see if there was a lot of sex in them (there is - ha!). It cools off as you go further into the series. There are 42 books in the series - we'll see if I read ALL of them again. But I'm on book 4 & it's been fun reacquainting myself with the characters' beginnings. The Bughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07509037206264761261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447321916012029979.post-42714421114772282462016-03-05T08:02:32.150-06:002016-03-05T08:02:32.150-06:00I desperately search for books to read, but find I...I desperately search for books to read, but find I wish I had my money back oftentimes. I won't tell you which one, but I only got through about a third of it. I do try to finish them but sometimes cannot. Last one I really liked was JUST KIDS by Patti Smith. Also, ALL THE LIGHT WE CANNOT SEE. Just finished NIGHTINGALE which I did enjoy.
