Probably a bad idea to make both of those changes at the same time. It's been a STEEP learning curve. I really do like it, but I'm still not happy with it regarding pictures. Oh well, I guess it will all get straightened out eventually. And I DO like the portability of sitting anywhere to use it and traveling with it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-447321916012029979.post-45701938646217502392010-02-09T19:31:12.553-06:002010-02-09T19:31:12.553-06:00I highly recommend laptops. It doesn't work the way I thought it would though - all the stuff I do on Big Mac doesn't automatically get transferred to little Mac. I have to migrate before I leave, then email myself current projects that I'm working on when I take it on the road. I've taken it to the Mac Gurus to see if there's an easier way & there's not, without buying their 'blue something' program to keep all your stuff on the internet. I found the transfer from my old eMac far more difficult and confusing than they'd ever been before. They have always performed for us. Only once did we get a machine with a flaw, took it back right away, they fixed it and never had a problem since. In this case (John), it is not the machine that screwed up, it was the idiots using it. I'm not really sure what we did but it can't find the OS. It will come on, just won't start up.
