in no particular order...


blue skies and rainy days


clouds


pecans


flowers


trees


sunrises and sunsets


my husband/partner/lover/friend


my children and their spouses


my grandchildren


my siblings and other family


good health


my avocation for my vocation


birds


physical and virtual friends


enough food


my old house in the city that nutured and sheltered my family


my new house in the country


wide open spaces


the night sky


insects 


my cat


lizards and snakes and turtles


rivers


the randomness of my birth in this time and place


canyons


the fullness of the earth


all the blessings that have not come to mind

  7. Oh Ellen... yes! All those things. All those pleasures, most of them every day things in every day moments and every day places. It's good to recognize our gifts and blessings - the great and the small. How fortunate you are. How fortunate we all are, if we would only open our eyes and see it.

    This post reminds me of all the things I am grateful for too. And you have just floated to the top of that list. XO
